ReplyDeleteActually this car is Sold unfinished. The kit is selling on eBay right now

Unfortunately, with the downturn in the economy, we just don't have the resources to finish it, so this build will be sold and we will try again another day. Hopefully the economy is turning a corner and getting better soon. We are planning smaller, less expensive builds.
We will build the Veilside Fortune some day, but only if we can fund the entire build and not rely on the participation of other people. Its an expensive car to build, but we thin its worth it.
The automatic was optional, so was the conversion to the 5 speed. Me personally? I like a 5 speed, but the customer who was supposed to buy this one, wanted the auto.
Considering we waited 4 months for the kit to come in from Japan, its hard to say total build time. We planned on engine work for this car as well. THe normal build time for kit like this, with no mechanicals is 3 - 6 weeks, as long as all the parts are in.
Thanks for taking the time to comment...
Is this car still there? Did it finished? How much?I'd like to buy one if the price is lower than 45K. and what the profermance with it?
ReplyDeleteFinancier backed out on this build so we had to part it out to cut our losses. We can build you one under 45k. Let us know if your serious or just shopping.
ReplyDeleteVeilside USA is no longer in business in the US :( Until someone buys the mold and starts to produce them here, these builds are on hold. Sorry folks. We need some alone time to morn the loss...........
ReplyDeleteYou have guys have designed numerous different types of body kits. You have couple of wide body kits too. How come you guys dont design wide body kit for 3000gt? I'm a car enthusciate and part of 3000gt club and we have desire to buy wide body kits for 3000gt. Absolutely no one seems to sell them. Iam also part of www.3si.org, site where all 3000gt/ dodge stealth come and socialize. I know more than 12 guys who have desire to buy wide body kit if anyone is making them. You should look into that.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you would make alot of sales and on top of that you would be designing something unique that no one done before.
We can build one for the 3000GT and the Stealth, all it takes is a customer willing to pay the bill. Doing a custom kit or modifying an existing kit is not cheap and without the proper budget in place, it can be a nightmare for both parties. We have the technology and skill, question is do we have the customer with the budget?
ReplyDeletei just bought a 1994 mazda rx7 and really want to put the veilside fortune body kit on it. including the paint job, how long and how much do you think it would be to install the parts and paint it?
ReplyDeleteWe normally priced it at $6000 but it will vary depending on the body shop who does the work. Always leave some room in your budget for contingencies, there's always stuff that crops up that you never thought about.
ReplyDeleteIn my personal opinion, its the coolest kit for the RX7. The Veilside kit is amazingly complete, right down to the fuel door popper and the vent tube so the headlamp covers don't fog up from moisture. The carbon fiber front spoiler is amazing as well.
Let us know how the build goes and feel free to send some pics, we will post them on the Blog and give props to the builder. Also let us know how much the final cost is so we can pass the info along.
ok thanks, and can you give me a estimate for how long it might take before i do?
ReplyDeleteThat depends on how many labor hours the shop estimates the work. After the estimate its simple math. Estimated labor hours, divided by how many hourse per day they thing they can work on your car. Example: 200 labor hour job / 6.5 hrs a day = 30.78 days to complete - no weekends and holidays = 36 days. Add for waiting for supplies and contingencies, your about 40 days to complete. Not to say it takes 200 hours to complete the Veilside Fortune, but it helps to know the math. 160 to 260 labor hours is a safe guess depending on your or their skillz...
ReplyDeleteok thanks, one more thing, this is the link i was going to buy the body kit from ---> http://www.body-kitz.com/contents/en-us/p1337.html
