Body Kit and Composite Repair. Cost vs Value Proposition.

Repairing body kits is sometimes more cost effective then replacing.  Rather then getting into a how to article I think we will just get you the information you need to decide whether repairing or replacing is the most cost effective method of getting your custom car back on the road.
If your body kit is something unique, high end or just takes too long to order online.  Repair may be your best option.  Cost to repair will depend on the extent of the damage.  Fortunately we can repair body kits damaged so bad, there are chunks or sections missing.  If you still have the pieces, it will save time getting it back to the original condition.

If your kit was relatively inexpensive compared to some of the other parts out there, replacing it will probably be a better choice.  Keeping in mind the time you saved with the replacement, may also be lost repairing the blemishes and refitting your replacement body kit.  If your inexpensive piece fit well with only normal blemishes the first time it was fit, then you are a good candidate for a replacement.

Ultimatly most shops will have to look at the piece (ours included) before they can assess the damage.  How much it will cost depends on which shop looks at it.  Here at Race Club Body Shop, we are composite repair experts and yet we still have to look at them to determine a target price.  In some cases its a cost vs value proposition.  Our quality is very high when repairing or installing body kits, we pride ourselves on factory looking parts and durable installs.  We also provide and heavy duty chip resistant coating for those customers requesting the longest lasting body kit possible.

Here at our shop its not about how long it takes to do something, its more about the value fo quality.  As some know "you get what you pay for in body shops".
