Report: GM Plans to Call Back 8,000 Chevy Volts | TheBlaze.com

I personally hope the all electric cars are indeed perfected to a point where they make sense, but did you know when you plug in, the electric current required to charge your batteries come from a coal or nuclear burning plant to generate that electricity? So if we all dropped gasoline and went totally electric, how are the plants going to keep up? Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems to me, gasoline burns cleaner right now. Until we get a cleaner alternative to coal, it seems we are missing the point. Granted the direction is right and their heart is in the right place, but they needn't ignore the facts, just because they don't like gasoline.

Their will be a time and place for electric cars, but to shut down oil just because is crazy, Develop the technology first, then transition.

Why do people loose their common sense when they get elected to office?
